The LIVECoVET – Livestock Innovation Environmental Future: Centre of Vocational Education project is not only about understanding current challenges — it is about preparing the livestock sector for the future. Its vision is to create a sustainable, resilient, and digitally skilled European livestock community.
LIVECoVET pursues three main objectives:
1. Driving innovation and sustainability in livestock farming, helping farmers adopt climate-smart practices and reduce environmental impacts.
2. Strengthening vocational education with green and digital skills, ensuring that rural professionals are equipped for tomorrow’s challenges.
3. Bridging the gap between rural realities and ecological & digital transitions, aligning practical knowledge with emerging policies and technologies.
Through modular, multilingual digital learning tools, hands-on training, and collaboration across eight European countries, LIVECoVET creates a pan-European ecosystem of vocational excellence. The project not only delivers knowledge but also fosters a community of empowered professionals, ready to implement sustainable solutions, improve animal welfare, and enhance farm resilience.
By focusing on the future, LIVECoVET ensures that Europe’s livestock sector remains competitive, innovative, and fully aligned with the continent’s sustainability and digital transformation goals.
